New artistic director of Iceland Dance Company appointed

The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture have appointed Lára Stefánsdóttir as the new artistic director of Iceland Dance Company. The position is for five years, starting from August 1st 2012. Read more

Minus 16 in Akureyri

Iceland Dance Company will visit the North of Iceland in April to perform at Hof, the new Cultural House in Akureyri. IDC will be offering a fun performance geared towards the whole family. Children from the age 16 and younger will get a 50% discount of the ticket price. Read more

A Perfect Day To Dream

Iceland Dance Company premiered „A Perfect Day To Dream“ on september 30th 2011. The piece is by Anton Lachky, who is a co-founder and member of the dance collectives Les Slovaks. The group is made out of five male dancers from Slovakia and is considered one of Europe´s leading dance groups.
