Peter
Anderson 
Peter Anderson is born and
raised in London where he later studied at Brunel University, graduation in 1991. For the
last fifteen years he has danced in companies throughout Europe and is now based in Iceland
dancing with the Icelandic Dance Company.
Peter has dedicated himself to dance, comedy and art and he has created award winning theatre pieces, critically acclaimed choreographies and dancevideos and gallery exhibitions. Peter has created several choreographies for example Critic´s Choice and Not excatly maby for the Iceland Dance company.
He is the founder and director of the comedy
improve group Watch My Back. Peter has represented Iceland as an artist, he is the
leader for dance education Boys project based at the Iceland Dance Company and has worked
as a guest lecturer for the Iceland Academy of Arts
Cameron
Corbett
Cameron Corbett was born in Portland,
Oregon, USA., where he studied at Jefferson High School of the Performing Arts. He was awarded
a top prize by the National Foundation For Advancement in the Arts before attending North
Carolina School of The Arts. He was later a soloist with Tanz-Forum Koln, under the direction
of Jochen Ulrich. Cameron danced with The Icelandic Company from 1997-2002 and again from 2006
on. He´s performed in musicals for both the Reykjavik City Theatre and the National Theatre. He
choreographed "Hybili Vindanna" for the Reykjavik City Theatre and "Hafid
Blaa" for Ismedia at Austarbaer Theatre. Cameron has also taught dance at Listdansskoli
Islands, The Iceland Academy of the Arts, and at private schools in Iceland, Germany, ant the
USA. He is a founding member of the Reykjavik Dance Festival.
Hannes Þór
Egilsson.
Hannes started his dance career in ballroom dancing at only 6 years
of age. When he was 18 years old Hannes got inspired after watching a performance with The
Iceland Dance Company and decided to join the National Ballet School of Iceland . Hannes
performed in Luna with ID as a guestdancer while he was still a student at the Ballet School
. After two years of ballet studies he got accepted into the London Contemporary Dance
School. During his third year of studies Hannes choreographed „Once upon a time“ which
was performed at dance festivals in both London and Paris. Hannes graduated in summer 2007 and
joined ID in November 2007.
Emilía
Benedikta Gísladóttir
Started her
dancing with Sigríður Ármann in 1989. In 1994 she joined the National Ballet School of
Iceland where she graduated 9 years later. At this time she went to Sweden to study dance at
the Royal Ballet School of Stockholm, where she stayed for one year. She danced at the
National Theatre Art Festival in 2002 and in Reykjavik Dance Festival that same
year. Starting as an apprentice with the company in the fall of 2004, Emilía is now
a member of the company.
Lovísa
Ósk Gunnarsdóttir
Began her dance education at the JSB school of dance and studied there during the years of
1980-1998 when she went to The Ballet academy in Stockholm to continue here studies. After
graduating in 2002 she has been a regular feature with the Iceland Dance Company,
both performing in local performances and touring. She has performed in works by Rui Horta,
Peter Anderson, André Gingras, Roberto Oliván and more. She is a regular feature of the
Reykjavik Dance festival where she has performed as a dancer as well as showing her own
pieces. She has choreographed several works, both with Sigurdur Halldórsson and in the creative
duo Samsuðan & co. Apart from dancing, Lovísa has also done some acting,
e.g. starred in a television sitcom produced by the Icelandic National
Television, and has performed in musicals, for example in the Reykjavík City
Theatre. Lovísa is a guest-teacher with the JSB school of dance and holds
dance-workshops all over the country.
Aðalheiður
Halldórsdóttir
Started her dance education at the National
Ballet School of Iceland in 1987 and graduated in 1994. Directly after that she went as an
apprentice for a year with the Ballet Akademina í Cologne in Germany. In 2002-2004 she studied
dance and choregraphy at the Hogescholl voor de Kunsten in Arnheim in the Netherlands.She has
performed in works by several choreographers since joining Id, including Helena
Jónsdóttir, Lára Stefánsdóttir, Didy Veldman, Rui Horta, Olof Ingolfsdottir, Roberto
Oliván, and André Gingras.. Aðalheiður has both danced and choregraphed in several festivals in
Iceland. She has choreographed pieces for Id's and Reykjavík City Theatre's annual
Dance / Theatre Competition and is a part of a creative duo called Vadall with fellow
dancer/choreogrpaher Valgerdur Runarsdottir. Vadall took part in Id's
Choreographic workshop in spring 2006 which developed into a full performance for the company
in October called To each his own. Aðalheiður is a guest-dancer with the company.
Katrín
Ingvadóttir 
Began her ballet
studies with Sigríður Ármann and continued her studies in the National Ballet School of Iceland
and the Jazz ballet School of Bára in the years of 1982-1991. Thereafter, she studied dance at
the Arts Education School in London for two years. Katrín has been a dancer with the Iceland
Dance Company since 1993. She has also participated in many performances with, among others,
the Icelandic Opera, the National Theatre, and the Icelandic Jazzballet Company. Katrín is a
guest teacher with the JSB school of dance and has choreographed several pieces for their
performances.

Katrín Ágústa Johnson
began her ballet studies with the Ballet School of Edda Scheving at a young age and continued
her studies with the National Ballet School of Iceland. She went to study in Sweden
at the age of 16, and graduated from the Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm in 1996. Katrín has
also studied in England and Denmark and has received a grant for young artists and a cultural
grant from the city of Reykjavík. She has been a member of the Iceland Dance Company since
1996, apart from the season 2005-2006 when she was working at the Stadt Theatre Bern in
Switzerland. Katrín dances one of two roles in Katrin Hall’s dance short film “Burst” which
received an award at a dance festival in Toronto, Canada.
Guðmundur Elías
Knudsen 
Began his dance studies at the Ballet School of Guðbjörg Björgvinsdóttir in 1993. In 1994, he
continued his studies at the National Ballet School of Iceland, taking part in student
performances. In 1996, he began his studies with Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Arnhem in The
Netherlands, graduating in 2000. Throughout his years studying, Elías performed with the
Iceland Dance Company and Dansleikhus með Ekka. He joined Id in the fall of 2001 and has danced
in every performance with the company since. Guðmundur Elías dances one of two roles in Katrin
Hall’s dance short film Burst which received an award at a dance festival in Toronto
Canada.
Steve Lorenz

Joined Iceland Dance Company as a guest dancer in 2002. In the fall of 2003 he was hired as a
dancer with the company. Steve has studied dance at Hoogschool voor Muziek en Dans in
Rotterdam, The Netherlands. In addition he has finished physical education studies and
competed successfully in Karate. Steve is the company's in-house film-editor -
preparing videoclips of the company's performances for DVDs and the internet. He
created the piece Images for Id's Choreographic Workshop in 2007.
Hjördís Lilja Örnólfsdóttir

Started her dance education
in 1991 with The Ballet School of Edda Scheving. She studied at the National Ballet
School of Iceland from 1993-2003, graduating from the classical line of the school. In
2003-2004 Hjördís was an apprentice with Id performing in the February performance of the
company called Lúna. In the fall of 2004, she became a full member of the
company. Apart from her work with Id, Hjördís participated in The National Theatre art festival
in 2002 and danced in Reykjavík Dance Festival 2002 and 2004.

Valgerður Rúnarsdóttir
Started dancing at the age of four at Edda Scheving's ballet school. She
studied at the National Ballet School of Iceland from 1987-1995. She continued her studies in
Oslo at the Statens Ballett Högskole from 1995-1998. In Norway she in the piece Femm Kvinner I
en Badstu by Lisbeth Rönning in the Black Box Theatre in Oslo. In Iceland, Vala has performed
in Lára Stefánsdóttir's work 12 Vindstig in 2000, and in Ólöf Ingólfsdóttir's piece
Fimm Fermetrum, premiered in the Fall of 2001. Vala joined the ID in 2002. She has also
choreographed and danced in pieces composed for ID's and the Reykjavik City Theatre's
annual Dance-Theatre Competition for the past two years. She participated in ID's
Choreographic Workshop in the spring of 2006 and created the piece To each his own for ID's
October performance in 2006 alongside Aðalheiður Halldórsdóttir. Valgerður is on leave from the
company this year since she will be working with choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
